Vaporosa Cultural
Bethania Maia is a producer, curator and programmer with over a decade of experience in film festivals and audiovisual projects, including shorts, features and series, besides independent exhibitions and publications.
A Berlinale Talents Buenos Aires alumni, she's co-creator of Rastro Documentary Film Festival and Kilombinho - Films for the Kids and the Block, and has curated for festivals in Brazil, Colombia, Portugal and U.S.
She lectures at Escola Audiovisual Adelia Sampaio, the first all women's film school in Brazil, and is currently counsellor for the Film and Audiovisual Council of the Department of Culture of Federal District in Brazil.
She's the founder of Vaporosa Cultural, a production and diffusion company focused on Afro-diasporic narratives.
