Ebele Okoye

Ebele Okoye is Africa's pioneering female animator, a global speaker and juror, with a deep commitment to Ethical AI and socially conscious media. With over 20 years of global experience, the two-time Africa Movie Academy Award winner holds honours from the DEFA Foundation, Robert Bosch Foundation, U.S. Congress, and Amnesty International.

A dedicated mentor to young creatives, Ebele has founded major animation training programs including Shrinkfish Media Lab (2013), Motion to the Sound (2021) and Ani Jolly Girls Animation mentorship (2023). She has led international productions between Germany and other countries, with projects at Universal Pictures, Universal Music, and ARTE/ZDF, and has taught at Bauhaus University, Germany.

Founder of Spunky Toonz, a preschooler franchise, and Noa Vista®, an Ethical AI brand focused on responsible approaches to AI in creative practice, and creator of the "noaETHICA" series. Ebele also serves on the advisory board of Germany's BMZ development-oriented migration program (MEG)
