Mark Walton

Mark Walton is an Associate Professor of Media Management at Parsons | The New School in New York City and Principal at Onyx Global Media, where he advises media companies and independent creators on business strategy and distribution. 


Previously, he held senior management roles at One Caribbean Television and The Africa Channel. With extensive in TV syndication, he has secured distribution and sponsorship for more than fifty programs, including New York Undercover and the Hispanic Heritage Awards. 


Walton co-founded KJM3, the independent marketing and distribution company behind acclaimed releases such as Daughters of the Dust and The Man By The Shore. Since 2020, he has served as an Ambassador for Pavillon Afronova at the Cannes Film Festival and has led workshops for Caribbean filmmakers, including at CARIFESTA. 


He began his career in marketing at CBS and holds degrees from Boston University College of Communication and Yale School of Management.
