Hairouna Film Festival
Aiko Maya Roudette is a Vincentian filmmaker and cultural practitioner bridging St. Vincent and the Grenadines with the international film industry. Operating at the grassroots level, she nurtures emerging talent and champions underrepresented voices while building viable Caribbean cinema infrastructure. As Founder and Director of the Hairouna Film Festival—supported by UNESCO, the European Union, the Caribbean Culture Fund, and Soho House Group—Aiko positions St. Vincent within the global film ecosystem. Her regional leadership includes board membership with the Caribbean Film Festival, founding membership with the Caribbean Alliance of Film and Television Professionals, and curatorial roles at Curaçao International Film Festival.
Through the Hairouna Film Fellowship, she mentors emerging Vincentian filmmakers and facilitates international exposure. Aiko has been invited to contribute to major global forums on Caribbean cinema, including the Locarno Open Doors program, the Caribbean Umbrella stand at the European Film Market, and as a jury member at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival among others. Her diverse practice encompasses documentary, fiction, and commercial production.
