Emmai Alaquiva, once homeless, is now a 6x Emmy, 3x Webby, and NAACP Image Award-winning film director who crystallizes his cinematic poetry creating for Roc Nation, Rihanna’s FENTY Brand, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, and more.
Most recently, the Smithsonian published photographer directed, The Ebony Canal, a history-making film narrated by EGOT winner, Viola Davis. This masterful cinematic poem examines the HERstoric portal between the disparities of the current state of infant and maternal health.
His community efforts have been recognized by President Barack Obama, and his work has been seen nationally on Good Morning America, Forbes, and The New York Times.
