Marysela Zamora is the Film Commissioner of Costa Rica, leading the country’s global strategy to position it as a competitive film destination and creative economy hub. She works at the intersection of public policy, investment attraction, and storytelling, connecting Costa Rica, Central America, and the Caribbean with international markets.
She directs the Costa Rica Media Market, a platform linking regional projects with global partners, and has spearheaded programs to strengthen audiovisual companies and develop series and film projects for international platforms. Her work has contributed to attracting foreign productions while supporting the growth and export capacity of the local industry.
Marysela is also an advocate for gender equity and cultural policy, and a frequent speaker at international forums including TEDx and the United Nations.
