Osahon Akpata is a writer, producer, and CEO of CANEX Creations Inc. (CCInc), the intellectual property investment platform backed by Afreximbank’s Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA). At CCInc, he focuses on financing and commercializing high-potential IP across film, television, music, fashion, and other creative sectors, alongside life sciences and technology.
With a background spanning finance, strategy, and creative practice, Osahon brings a distinctive lens to storytelling, one that bridges artistic vision with disciplined capital. He has worked across global markets and is particularly focused on building structures that enable African stories to reach international audiences at scale.
His work centers on connecting creators with capital, strengthening distribution pathways, and advancing sustainable models for the global commercialization of African content. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, with a focus on Media Management.
