Richard Lawson is an actor, director, teacher, and empowerment leader with nearly 60 years in the industry. A Drama Critics Award winner, his stage work spans productions at the Public Theater, Manhattan Theater Club, and LA Theater Center. Film credits include Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist, Wag the Dog, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, and For Colored Girls.
He currently stars in Beauty in Black (number 1 globally on Netflix) and Divorce in the Black (number 1 globally on Amazon Prime), with upcoming projects including Roc Nation's Aftershock: The Nicole Bell Story. A longtime protege of master teacher Milton Katselas, Richard founded the Richard Lawson Studios in 2005 and has shaped the careers of thousands of working actors in Hollywood.
