Tzipporah Mayala is the President and Founder of L’Étoile de l’Afrique, an organization dedicated to strengthening the structure, circulation, and visibility of African and diasporic narratives through cinema, audiovisual media, distribution, and the cultural and creative industries.

A distributor, executive producer, and initiator of international cultural projects, she develops spaces of connection between talents, institutions, broadcasters, investors, and decision-makers in order to reinforce the narrative sovereignty of African works on the global stage.

Through initiatives such as the Narrative Sovereignty Summit, L’Étoile de l’Afrique Film Market, the African Audiovisual Observatory, and the Guild of Stars, she works to build sustainable infrastructures capable of supporting African and diasporic creators in the production, circulation, and transmission of their stories.

Her work stands at the intersection of cinema, cultural diplomacy, narrative innovation, and international cooperation.

In 2026, she was appointed by Pavillon Afronova, within the framework of the Cannes Film Festival, to lead the Narrative Sovereignty Summit, bringing together film professionals, media, institutions, and creative industries around the challenges of circulation, discoverability, and the global influence of African narratives.

Her vision:

Telling our stories. Structuring our industry. Inspiring the world.
